On Friday, June 1st, 2012, I'm offering an in-depth one day (Dutch) Delphi XE2 DataSnap Development training day in Helmond Brandevoort for a limited number of developers, including use of my Delphi XE2 DataSnap Development courseware manual. See http://www.eBob42.com/training/XE2 for more details and pricing (developers who buy their Delphi Enterprise from me will get discount, as well as multiple developers from the same company - up to 20%).

Stefan 12/08/01 17:35:18How on earth would a company devire a statistic like that? I have purchased Turbo Delphi Professional and registered it, yet I have never had any audit questions to determine if I am a developer. It is only sensible to assume that the statistic is based on licensed desks and if that is the case it is going to be a delusional over estimate of reality. As a new user of Delphi I can attest that the lack of a structured teaching facility and a virtual absence of tutorial books makes it so hard for a beginner to become a developer, that most of those licenses simply languish gathering dust. I would be surprised if 1% is even a realistic estimate of developer use, so 17 thousand is a more probable estimate of the impoverished state of Delphi and that number is surely on the decline as new developers fail to fill the shoes of those leaving for any number of reasons. From the outside looking in, Delphi is ring fenced' against access from new blood by its complexity (yes also read power) and lack of structured tuition. 30 Camtasia videos hardly does it for a realistic Developer Training Package.[WORDPRESS HASHCASH] The poster sent us '0 which is not a hashcash value.
